What we do
Mind in Chester is able to offer information and signposting to mental health services in the Chester are, but we are not able to offer advice:
- We provide a confidential mental health information service to people contacting us by telephone, email or letter
- We offer information, support and understanding
- We seek to empower people, enabling them to make informed choices
- We research information that helps us respond to the varying needs of different groups in the community
- We post all information in unmarked envelopes
- We operate within Mind in Chester’s equal opportunities policy
What we don’t do
- We don’t give medical advice. The focus is on a lay perspective on mental and emotional distress
- We don’t provide ongoing support
- We do not record phone calls
Contacting us
Our infoline is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 10am – 3pm.
A telephone answer phone service operates on Wednesdays and at all other times outside the opening hours listed above.
If you leave a short message on our telephone answer service with your contact details our Information Officer will respond to your enquiry as quickly as possible, and within 48 working hours.
