World Mental Health Day Hearing Voices Event a Success!

ENGLISH-WMHD09Mind in Chester, in partnership with Cheshire Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, hosted a one day workshop  on World Mental Health Day focusing on the theme of ‘hearing voices’.

Nearly 60 people, the majority of them service users and carers, attended, and heard an inspirational presentation given by Peter Bullimore and Kate Crawford from the Hearing Voices Network.  A number of people who attended expressed an interest in starting up a support network in the Chester area and we will be aiming to make this a reality in 2010.  If you have an interest in such a group, please contact our Information Officer, whose details can be found on our contacts page.
